Thailand Deputy PM, Yale Li Discuss Digital Cooperation at WSIS+20 in Geneva

GENEVA, July 8 – Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Prasert Jantararuangtong, met on Monday with Yale Li, Executive Chairman of the World Digital Technology Academy (WDTA), on the sidelines of the WSIS+20 High-Level Event in Geneva, to discuss potential collaboration in digital economy and technology.

GENEVA, July 8 – Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Prasert Jantararuangtong, met on Monday with Yale Li, Executive Chairman of the World Digital Technology Academy (WDTA), on the sidelines of the WSIS+20 High-Level Event in Geneva, to discuss potential collaboration in digital economy and technology.
The two sides exchanged views on digital transformation strategies and cooperation in emerging technologies, as part of broader efforts to enhance regional and global digital integration.
The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20), hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Swiss Confederation, is taking place from July 7 to 11 at the Palexpo Exhibition Centre.
Co-organized by UNESCO, UNDP, and UNCTAD, the summit has drawn participants from over 150 countries, including government officials, UN agencies, industry leaders, and civil society groups. Discussions are focusing on the global digital divide, AI regulation, infrastructure development, and the role of technology in sustainable development.

WDTA is among the international organizations attending the event. The academy has been engaging in sessions related to cross-border cooperation, digital policy, and capacity building.
