Trusted Digital ldentity for People & Al:From UN Strategy to Dpl Deployment

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will convene Digital@UNGA during the 2025 United Nations General Assembly, creating a space to spotlight digital cooperation across a range of activities and organizations. Through a flagship Anchor Event and a diverse programme of Affiliate Sessions, Digital@UNGA will bring together leaders, innovators, youth, and civil society to explore how digital can be a force for good, for people and prosperity. During the "Digital@UNGA" summit, the World Digital Technology Academy (WDTA) hosted a side event titled "Trusted Digital Identity for Humans and AI: From UN Strategies to Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Deployment." This side event centered on the three core principles of "interoperability, privacy protection, and inclusive design," addressing both "humans and AI agents" as dual entities. Discussions were held to share technological practices, policy experiences, and case studies, aiming to address implementation bottlenecks and provide pathways for the global scalability of United Nations digital identity initiatives.

I.CAIO HK FORUM

The I.CAIO (International Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer) certification training program was officially launched by the World Digital Technology Academy (WDTA) at the 27th United Nations Science and Technology Conference, held at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, in April 2024. This program aims to cultivate senior talents capable of comprehensively leading and managing enterprise AI strategies, helping enterprises fully leverage AI technology for continuous innovation and digital transformation. Through systematic training in the I.CAIO certification program, participants will receive professional instruction from industry leaders across ten modules (including strategy, technology, business, and governance), comprehensively expanding their knowledge and enhancing their strategic capabilities; they will also strengthen their engineering practice skills through individual, group, and enterprise project assignments.

The 3rd Global AI Action Summit 2025, hosted by the French government and co-organized by the Indian government, will take place in Paris on February 10-11, 2025. The summit will bring together leaders from nearly 100 countries to reach a consensus on the secure development of artificial intelligence.As a subforum of the AI Action Summit in Hong Kong, the Artificial Intelligence Safety, Trust, and Responsibility Forum (AI STR Forum) will be held at Cyberport, Hong Kong.
