"Our aim is to set global digital standards, lead in technological innovation, and ensure no one is left behind as we advance the common good" he stated.
Uniting Top Minds in Technology and Building Strong Partnerships
WDTA unites the world’s top intellectuals, with an academician council comprising 108 founding members, most of them are winners of prestigious global science and technology awards. Among them are Nobel Laureate in Physics Gerard 't Hooft, a leader in quantum physics; Turing Award recipient Vint Cerf, a pioneer of the internet; Turing Award winner Barbara Liskov, a forefront figure in data science; and Geoffrey Hinton, a leading expert on artificial intelligence. These eminent figures signify WDTA’s commitment to harnessing technology for global benefit and assert its leadership in the digital technology arena. Furthermore, WDTA’s collaborations with leading technology firms like Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, iFLYTEK, and Huawei are driving innovations and fostering international cooperation in the digital technology sector.
Prof. Yale Li, WDTA's co-founder and Executive Chairman, highlights the pivotal role of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development and other partners in shaping the academy's direction. “As a research-based international NGO, we catalyze establishing global digital standards, leading technological innovation, and fostering collaborative international networks," he stated.
Within its first year, WDTA has achieved remarkable results. At this event, WDTA introduced the WDTA AI STR (Safety, Trust, Responsibility) standards and educational programs, including the 'Generative AI Application Security Testing and Validation Standard' and 'Large Language Model Security Testing Method', as well as the 'Generative AI Talent Development Framework'. The 'Certified Chief AI Officer' and 'Certified AI Security Professional' programs are pivotal to these initiatives, designed to set new benchmarks in AI safety assessment and testing. They provide forward-thinking approaches and solutions in digital technology education.
